Anyone who's taken a grammar course could technically edit your work, so why pay a professional?

Exceptional editing is about more than spelling and conventions. It takes someone with a knack for consistency, someone inclined to triple-check the facts, someone willing to ask the hard questions, someone who strives not only to make it right but to make it better. To edit is to critically analyze from all angles.

As a writer/editor, I’ve worked mostly with creative non-fiction and destination content. However, I've edited nearly everything from poetry and prose to grants and technical instructions. Whatever your project, I'm ready.

For a decent idea of what it would cost to edit your work––be it academic, creative, poetic or otherwise––get in touch using the contact form. You don't want a cookie-cutter editor, so I won't give you a cookie-cutter rate.

I always aim for what's most economical for my client. Sometimes that's by the hour, sometimes that's by the page, and sometimes that's by the word. And even then, I individualize your quote based on a number of other factors, including how much research is involved on my part, how the pages are structured, etc. However, if you really want a ballpark estimate, you can glance at this chart by the Editorial Freelancers Association.
